OUR STORY
How We Met
Our story began not in the quiet of a bookstore, but in the vibrant, blueprint-scattered halls of the College of Engineering at RTU. Where circuits hummed and dreams were built from logic and grit, fate had its own elegant design.
Rhailyn, with a vision that could organize chaos, stepped into the light as the Project Manager for the entire College. And I, Emerson, found my purpose as an officer for the Computer Engineering Department. Our worlds, adjacent and alike, converged on the drafting tables of every event, every project, every late-night push towards a deadline.
What started as shared spreadsheets and event timelines quickly blossomed into shared jokes in empty lecture halls, coffees between classes, and conversations that stretched long after the work was done. We discovered a spark not just in the thrill of creation, but in the quiet understanding between two minds that spoke the same language of passion and perseverance. From colleagues to companions, from friends to the quiet, undeniable center of each other's universe.
How He Proposed
The proposal was not under a setting sun by a lake, but in the warm, laughter-filled glow of a family home. On the night of a dear friend's birthday, after the celebrations had simmered into a cozy after-party at the Tumambing house, surrounded by the very people who had cheered us on from the start...
In a moment that felt both spontaneous and perfectly ordained, the ordinary magic of the evening deepened. There, amidst the familiar comfort of loved ones and the soft echoes of the day's joy, Emerson found his moment. It was unique in its intimacy, profound in its simplicity. No grand stages, just the truth of us, witnessed by the hearts that knew us best.
He asked the question that had long been written in their shared smiles, their silent support, their built-together world.
And she said 'Yes!'
